Dillashaw presses forward and eats a punch, but again lands a partial head kick on the exit. Just like Cruz gets a takedown and Dillashaw squirms two way in two directions with Cruz still on top, but he does get to his feet. Two good leg kicks from Dillashaw land cleanly. Good right hand by Dillashaw finds the mark and an uppercut. Dillashaw grazes Cruz again with a head kick as he tries to exit the pocket. Good pair of jabs from Cruz finds the mark. The two fighters exchange punches for kicks and Dillashaw lands a nice right hand. Round 3: Dillashaw barrels forward and misses a bunch and Cruz lands ever so slightly. Cruz eats a punch while delivering his own leg kick. Dillashaw stands without taking too much punishment. Dominick Cruz times not one but two takedowns that plant Dillashaw firmly on the mat. Dillashaw throws the head kick, but he slips as it lands. Two good rights to the body from Cruz score and Dillashaw whiffs as he presses forward. Cruz catches the champ trying to blitz coming in. Round 2: Dillashaw is pressuring, but so far both fighters are missing a lot. Dillashaw attempts a takedown against the fence, but can't get it. Cruz nearly takes Dillashaw down again, but lands a few punches as the champ rises back to his feet. Cruz eats a right hand and body kick as Cruz moves off the fence. Two more punches land for Cruz as he backs Dillashaw up. Dillashaw grazes the former champ and misses before Cruz lands a short right again. Both fighters trade rights and then Cruz sneaks in a left. Dillashaw attempts a takedown, but can't get it. He eats one of his own, but briefly takes Dillashaw to the ground.
